StatPhys30

The C3 Commission of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) invites proposals to host StatPhys30, the 30th edition of the triennial flagship conference in statistical physics, to be held in 2028.

Following StatPhys27 in Buenos Aires and StatPhys28 in Tokyo, StatPhys29 will take place in Florence, Italy, from July 13–19, 2025. The C3 Commission values geographical and cultural diversity in the selection of conference venues and encourages proposals that reflect this principle.

Proposals should include the following:

• Details of the planned organizing committee and the local scientific community
• Proposed dates and location of the conference
• Accessibility of the venue and available facilities
• A preliminary budget and financial plan
• An estimate of the number and scope of potential satellite meetings

Please submit your proposal to c3commission2527@gmail.com by June 8, 2025. The proposals will be presented by the proposers preferably in person at the C3 Commission meeting during StatPhys29, where the final decision will be made and announced.
